Autumn Quilt

I finished a small quilt with some Autumn colors.  This is the first time I tried adding some machine embroidery.

My free-motion quilting is still in need of improvement, but hopefully I will improve with practice.

Gorgeous! I'm so glad others are doing the free motion as I can no longer afford to take mine to the quilter! You did a beautiful job free motion! Do you have a book or did you just "wing it"? You really did a nice job and I love the colors....Fall is my favorite season and all that it entails. I still have so much outside work to do but I want to come in and sew now! LOL! I guess I'll have all Winter for that though. Happy Fall!

Thank you for your nice comments!
I did not have a book to follow but I read online tutorials and watched free motion quilting videos (which make it all seem so easy!)

The front looks pretty good; the back...eh, whatever. ;-) Live and learn.

I love your autumn quilt, its lovely. Good for you for doing your own machine embroidery, I have not tried to do my own yet I think I am just chicken. I have someone that top stitches my quilts for me. I love the leaves on the sides.
You did a great job!
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
