Guest Nester

We have a guest bird, presumably a robin, who has made a nest in one our hanging plants on the front porch.

This has made using the front porch tricky, since we want her to be able to keep her eggs warm but every time we come through the front door she flies off to the maple tree.

And it has made watering the plant very tricky and it will probably be even harder when they hatch.

But oh!  Aren't they pretty?

What a color!  What a crafty looking nest too.  She is very skilled.

Other than her having to deal with us occasionally coming and going, it's not a bad place to have a nest since I don't think any cats, housecats or barn cats, ever come around the porch.  Hopefully she will stay safe.

Wow, what an exciting thing to be able to watch the birds hatch and grow. The nest almost looks too perfect to be real.

The nest is perfect and look at those beautifully colored eggs. It's so perfect it almost looks fake. It just amazes me! No way could I make a nest like that! LOL!
