Barn Scenes

I headed out to the big barn yesterday.  Along the way I stopped to check out the old nesting boxes that Handy put out against the wall of one of the old outbuildings. (He screwed them to the wall; the logs are just there for extra support.)  The chickens have different boxes that they use in the Hennebago, but I figured why not put these out in case they want to use them in the summer.  They were taking up space in the old building anyway.
I was in the big barn because the kids had worked to clean out all of the old loose hay and they were jumping out of the big doors down into the pile of fluffy hay.  I came to check out what they were doing.
One of the boys has a little Farmall Cub tractor that he restored and it's just so cute I took a couple of pictures.
The barn looks so roomy!  Usually it is full.
Elsa was right there with the kids.  She was jumping out into the hay pile too, which was hilarious.
I tried to catch Emma's spinning leap out of the barn but it's a bit blurry.  I know the kids took pictures with their camera so maybe I can browse through and post some of those photos later.  They sure had a good time.

I remember doing that as a kid and swinging from a rope and then dropping onto the hay. I had a great childhood and it looks like your children do to. I love the Farmall too. He did a nice job! Did he have it professionally spray painted or did he do that too?

What a great idea with the laying boxes. Love the old red barn. Off to look for your coop on here. I hope you have pics.
