He was decidedly enthusiastic.
And of course, I couldn't think of anything I wanted to do.
I thought about just staying home and getting him to paint something for me since the weather was unseasonably warm. But my daughter reminded me that we do that all the time anyway and I should strike while the iron is hot and go somewhere.
So I suggested Hobby Lobby.
It was a big deal because nothing strikes groans and moaning in my boys as much as Hobby Lobby does. Hubby has never been inside an actual Hobby Lobby store, but only in the parking lot which I blogged about here. I knew it was now or never to get him to go so off we went.
We arrived and I did what I usually do, browse all the clearance aisles and work my way through the 1/2 off sections, being followed all the while by my own little entourage. It's fun for the first couple of aisles to have the company but after a while you start turning around, wishing they could just go and find something else to look at. Which, of course, in Hobby Lobby they cannot do. Finally the guys asked if I mind if they went on over to Best Buy to look at electronics. And by that time I surely did not mind at all.
I am always snapping photos of objects that I like.
We came home and had fun times hanging out in the kitchen, eating and drinking with the family and hanging my shelf and mirror, which is my idea of the perfect birthday evening.
