Some Kitchen Christmas Decor

Lately I have been spending most of my time upstairs in my little workshop.  I haven't really finished decorating like I'd like to, but I have so many homemade projects that I'm working on and it has taken up so much of my time.

Our kitchen decor usually includes a rather sorry looking little artificial tree. But this year my 12yo son decided to put it on the the cream separator, nestled in the bowl. Not a bad idea since the separator weighs a ton and I didn't want to take it out of the kitchen.
There are always a variety of paper snowflakes on the kitchen windows throughout the winter too.

I haven't read many blogs lately either, with all of my sewing and such, and it's just as well because it can overwhelm me easily.  I love to see all of the creativity out there; all of the great ideas, and I begin to plot and plan how I could do more than I am already doing, and then I realize how little time I actually have...I just need to stay focused on my list!

So I will stick to my small plan of just finishing my homemade gifts, baking some holiday treats with my girls, and hopefully get our tree up before our daughter arrives home at the end of this week from the university.

I really love the simplicity of your decorating with the homemade snowflakes and the pinecones in the bowl. I think your son is brillant for coming up with the idea of placing the tree in the separator!

The little tree by the window in copper pot is super cute!
