Best of the Bungalow's First Year

It's the end of the year, and although Our Country Bungalow didn't arrive on the scene until April, I don't think it's wrong to feature some of the favorite posts of 2011.  How about just the top five?

Overall, the most popular post of the blog so far has been the "Hennabago" post.  The little post about our chickie's fashionable home on wheels continues to get lots of views.  It even made it to Pinterest! I think the little feathered ladies are riding the huge wave of vintage RV popularity right now.  My little hens are so trendy.

Another popular post was the Motorhome Makeover, before & after.  I think lots of people love the idea of a little house on wheels and we know that bloggers love those redecorating projects.  And the post had the added benefit of showing off a lot of my favorite color, red.

And who didn't have an "I-painted-my-cabinet" post this year? (or hutch, or kitchen island, or coffee table, or dresser,...)  Well this little blog did and it was pretty well received.  I know there were lots of painted projects out there in blogland this year because I wasted spent a lot of time browsing through plenty of pictures.  BUT, I was inspired enough to paint a few things of my own...so thank you, creative bloggers out there.
The fourth most popular post was yet another rambling by me about kitchens that I love.  There are, apparently, plenty of other readers out there who love to gaze at photos of dreamy kitchens as much as I do.  And I included a couple of pictures of my own kitchen (that I do love) in this post also.

My own kitchen
And the final post that made the top five was just one of those posts that featured some photos from an October afternoon drive we took in the RV (where we made some wrong turns and got a little bit lost) and the colors and weather was beautiful.  Just one of those days that I am glad I made a post about because I want to remember it well.
So these are the top five posts of 2011.  I enjoyed this first blog year and have high hopes for the new year.

Happy 2012 to you all.

You have a pretty awesome blog. I don't think I posted anything as cool as any of these all year on any blogs I manage. I need to take lessons from you.

Love that last shot. What a winner. Vintage trailers are so hot right now. Would love to have one.
