Stuff to Keep Busy With

Today has been a very dark and dreary day and I have been hanging around in my little craft area making some cloth napkins out of some leftover fabric.

I was trying to come up with another reason to use the serger while it was still threaded with black.  I hate changing the serger thread.  I usually make some deal with my son for him to do it for me.

I serge the edges first and then fold them over and hem them.
I actually like gray, dark days when the lamps are on and the rooms take on a warm glow.

As always, the dogs are here to keep my company while I work.  Every time I go back and forth from machine to cutting table, I have to be careful not to trip over them.
The ceilings in the room are sloped to follow the pitch of the roof.  I think it makes for a cozy setting.  I can hear the rain directly overhead while I putter away.

Hope you are all enjoying this November Monday.

Your craft area is so warm and inviting. I know just how you feel about the warm glow of lamps when it is dark and dreary outside.
Blessings,
Lorilee

Yes, nothing better than ambient lighting. Thanks so much for sharing with my newbie party.

Black labs! I do love labbies! :) I love listening to the rain on the roof too. So cozy and comforting in a strange way...
