More Halloween Foods...

We had another Halloween get-together over the weekend.  It was fun and we had another opportunity to get creative with food.

This was my Mummy-head loaf of bread that was stuffed with meat and cheese.  It was similar to last year's severed limb loaves of bread.  Nothing stuffs a crowd like bread, meat, and cheese and this guy was pretty good sized (he's on one of my larger platters).

I had made a lot of dough and quite a bit of the meat mixture so I made a large rat too.  I brushed him with food coloring-water before he went into the oven.  His eyes are pimentos.

There was Artichoke-Spinach dip which was fun to serve...
(there was a little added food coloring to get that icky, blah color)

We made cookies that looked like fingers and cupcakes too.

And the girls got together and made Red Velvet Roadkill Cake.  They didn't show me until they were done and it cracked me up.  I mean..eewwww!

The best part is when all of the little boys laugh and say "Aw...yuck!"
It was fun to make stuff and I look forward to doing it again.

I honestly don't think I could eat any of this stuff-you did such a good job at making everything look so real!!
But, of course, it won't bother the kids! I know my grandaughter would love it all.

What fun things to serve for a Halloween party, all of them look great! The dip coming out of the pumpkin is a great idea :)
