Around the Farm in Pictures

My daughter, Caytie, went off to the university this past week. Before she left she went around and took some pictures of home and of the farm to take with her. She did such a nice job that I thought I would share a few.

The barn...
One of the pastures with a sheep grazing in the distance...
Elsa getting ready to go for a walk down the lane...
It is very hard actually, to take pictures without dogs in them. They go everywhere with you. This is one of the hay fields...with Elsa...

Barn door + curious goat...
and Holly, also known as Caytie's little Cookie..The chief tough-guy barn cat, trying to give his best "Be afraid. Be very afraid." -look.
...and assorted chickens...(the two hens have a sort of hey-are-you-checking-out-my-man look to them while the rooster looks like he doesn't mind be checked out at all. Typical.)She took a lot of great pictures and hopefully I can get around and share some more soon!

I enjoyed reading your interpretation of the animals' expressions :) I think you nailed 'em!

Great pictures - simple, calm and quiet scenes. Just the thing to pull out and look at while in the bustle of college life!

What a wonderful farm! I'm in love with your barn and I hope we get to see lots more of that and your farm. I'd love to go for a walk down that lane too....so peaceful and green compared to our drought dried landscape here in our part of Kansas. We're finally getting rain though so hopefully things will look better before winter hits. Thanks for sharing your daughters pictures with us and I'm looking forward to seeing more!
Maura :)
