Phone Photos

I usually have my phone with me and I use it to take pictures quite often. It's handy that way.

Here are a few photos I took yesterday.

Misty, the cat, who spends most of her time on the front porch. She likes the breeze and when she's up on the ledge the annoying big dogs can't get close to her.

I went looking for some lumber in one of the outbuildings yesterday and snapped this photo of the barn. I thought it looked like the classic farm setting with the tractor parked in front of it.
There's a wagon load of hay parked in one of the outbuildings and it looks like the hens are making use of it.Maggie and Bruno hanging around, waiting for me while I took pictures of the cat on the porch. They were on the lookout for squirrels.
And yes, the last one is a picture of my clean kitchen sink, which I took and then texted to my teenagers living at home saying "if THIS is how you find the sink, then THIS is how you should leave the sink". I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe, the person who dumps the rest of their blueberry smoothie and just leaves it will get the message. ;-)

Your homeplace definitely reminds me of a pastoral homestead-with the red barn, the hay bales, kitties and dogs lazing around.
I love the stonework supporting your porch too.
Thanks for sharing a little piece of your farm with us!

Love your place. Good luck with the clean sink thing! I've been trying to convince my boys of the same thing for years.

Love your barn! Re: the sink, how about a text that says, "This is how the sink looks now. If it doesn't look this way for the next 3 days, you will clean it." Well, just an idea :)

Love your farm photos! I have a thing about farmsteads, so when we are traveling I'm always looking at the farms and checking out gardens, animals, etc. Much more interesting than suburban homes:)

I liked the sink text idea. How's that working out for you?

Love your farm photos!

I have two gray tabbies just like yours and one black lab, just like yours and a very full dirty sink....NOT like yours!

LOVE the texting idea.
May have to steal that!
