My Photo Wall - part 1

I love family photographs. Anyone who visits our home can see that. I have photos and collages of family and friends in almost every room. My latest experimentation is with black and white. I wanted to hang some pictures in our little library.

I edited and cropped some copies of favorite family photos and took them to Sam's Club for printing. I think we were out of printer ink at home and the boys told me that I might find it cheaper to have them do it, compared to the cost of ink. (I don't know much about printing yet but I'll get there)

I framed the photos in a variety of frames; some that came from Goodwill that had other prints in them that I removed, and some in new frames from Walmart.

The most tedious part of the project was hanging the frames on the nails. Sometimes they have these little bitty hanging triangles in the back.....grrr. Well, they were inexpensive.

I'm at the beginning stage of what I have planned but here's how it looks so far:

Here are some pictures of photo groupings that I saw online that inspired me:

Aren't they lovely? I don't have nearly as much wall
space though. Most of our library room is books,
which is just fine with me since that is what a library ought to be.

I really like your collage of framed photos. I am a big scrapbooker, so I've kept most photos in albums. Now I'm trying to bring out the older pictures, like grandparents as kids. It does make the house even cozier, doesn't it.

I love big walls of family pictures. Yours is adorable. I'm also a big fan of barns and you have one of the best I've ever seen. Mimi
